He Loves Me...

"He loves me...he loves me not...he loves me!"
"He" being the one and only man in their life- Daddy!
You're Daddy sure does love you and we won't even get into how much your Momma loves you! :)

I've been sick for the past couple days including a loss of my voice so these girls have had to learn to entertain themselves! Julie is a Little Mimicker who wants to have and hold everything that her big sister is playing with. Lizzie is a Little Dictator who wants to have and hold everything that her little sister is playing with.
Despite this ever present dilemma, Lizzie has learned to coexist with her little sis through the art of sharing, trading, hiding, and sometimes just taking when the Big Dictator is not watching. Overall, she is a pretty good sharer for a 2 1/2 year old, though.

I love watching them laugh and having fun together. Its definitely nice for them to have someone to play with when mom is not up for the task!

Our Adopted Cat, MeowMa

I have always loved cats. Dave has always loved cats. Lizzie and Julie love cats.
So why has it taken us this long to get one? Because I am deathly allergic to them! A neighborhood stray wandered into our backyard and Lizzie got so excited saying it was her stuffed kitty, Meow's, Mama! Then she just started calling it "MeowMa." It was all skinny and begging so we gave it a little food. And then it just never left. MeowMa now has her own cat food, collar, bed, and food bowls. We have officially adopted her. She's a great outdoor cat that gets to come in for pets every now and then. She loves the kids and puts up with alot of mauling. I was taking a picture of the girls and she just plopped right in front.

I will never be able to take pictures with just the girls again. The cat is always around and always wants to be the center of attention. At least someone is dying for me to take pictures of them.

An outdoor cat is a pretty low key pet I must say. I don't even have to feed it. Lizzie feeds her twice a day all by herself! She loves having something to take care of and occasionally boss around.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! Couldn't let the day go by without posting a tribute to my husband, father of my children, best friend, confidant, and super hero. Had to throw that last one in there for Lizzie- her and Daddy talk about super heroes alot, lately. He really is a super hero though. And since its Father's Day I am going to reveal his Super Daddy Powers:

- Freezing Time
How else could a guy manage a new dental practice, teach early seminary every day, help around the house, complete DIY home projects, spend time with his wife, and still have time to play with the kids from the minute he gets home to the minute they go to bed?

- Super Strength
I'm pretty good at opening my own jar of pickles. But, there are just those times when you're out and about and both little girls are desperate to be held. This is when Daddy defies human strength and picks up one girl in each arm, carries the diaper bag, and then asks me to hand him all five of the grocery bags that need to be transported to the car.

-Pheromone Manipulation
Haha. Jk- I won't go into that :) He is one charming guy though.
