Family Update

I wish that I could be posting some adorable pictures of the girls right now, especially since Julie just turned 8 months old! Unfortunately, I am busy taking care of sick children. All of us have been getting one bug or another for the past couple months but it has been particularly bad lately! Julie is just getting started on some antibiotics so things are starting to look up!

Wedding and Baptism

We have recently gotten to know a couple who were wanting to get married and they asked me to be their photographer. Talk about pressure! They were actually married and baptized into our church all in one night! Thought I'd post one of my favorites.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patty's Day! I actually discovered this year after talking to my Grandma about family history that I have some Irish roots! So we went all out and celebrated all week!

Ok, so that's only a very minor reason we celebrated. We mostly just wanted to have an excuse to party while Grandma and Grandpa were visiting us! When I was a little girl the St. Patty's traditional meal was broccoli cheddar soup. My mom and I cooked this up again, but half of us (the men) refused to partake in the vegetable deliciousness.
Lizzie got a bottle full of green milk! Yes, she still drinks from a bottle- Don't judge me! I have my reasons.

Then, the following night we cooked up St. Patty's meal part II (for the men): Cowboy steaks and potatoes. Don't ask me how this is St. Patty's related. We did have green beans as a side dish.
Grandma made Julie some ADORABLE new bibs that are so handy! The best part is how they protect her sleeves from getting dirty!
Julie enjoyed some delicious St. Patty's Day appropriate pureed spinach and pears. Mmmmm!

This weekend was so much fun because we got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa! It was a short visit but we made the most of our time and look forward to their next visit already!

After Grandma and Grandpa left we celebrated some more with friends by making these white chocolate pretzel shamrocks!

The girls were very excited to frost and put sprinkles on their own pretzels.

When I turned my back to grab my camera Lizzie took the opportunity to start grabbing and eating the green sprinkles by the handful. Good thing Erin and I were done making the ones we wanted to give away!

She's very proud of herself! Stuffed full of chocolate and many many green sprinkles. Notice how her left hand is STAINED green in a serious way.

Baby Pool Shark

What a cute little pool shark! She was so pleased to have a chance to grab at the pool balls.
What is it about a pool table anyways? All kids of all ages LOVE them! Adult kids too!

Well, we don't normally allow Julie to play on the pool table, but it certainly made her smile for the camera! She definitely has her own preferences these days. She is getting into that stage where her baby toys aren't good enough anymore. Random household objects, kitchen ware, electronics, etc., are the only items that will keep her attention for more than a minute!

Snow?

Snow? Wasn't I playing with the kids at the park in the warm sun not that long ago? The weather here is crazy. That's all I have to say about that.

Lizzie Lue

Lizzie brought this paper home from nursery on Sunday and it made me smile. Sometimes when you ask her what her name is she will say: "Lizzie Lou!!"
"Lou" is not her middle name but part of a nickname, originally coined by Jamie. Her cousin Katie is "Missy Moo" so we often refer to them as Lizzie Loo and Missy Moo.
Down the road, Liz may find herself confused to learn that her real middle name is not "Lue".

We had such a great time visiting Steph, Blake and family. The kids were so much bigger and so fun! This trip tops our list with NY, as being some super memories with the Marstons. So glad that Steph took some pics for me! We left our camera at home (except for a cheapy $30 camera/camcorder that we brought to the parks). Steph and Blake are always the best host/hostesses. Thank you!!!
