With her newfound mobility, she has a developing sense of independence and strong will, it seems. The other day I was reading to her, and when we got to the end of one of her favorite Curious George books, I said, "The End!" Then I put the book away. She, apparently, was not ready for it to end, though. She got so mad and threw the biggest screaming fit, arching her back and the whole works. I tried bouncing her, talked soothingly, made funny noises (the ones that always get a laugh), and even gave her a different book to try and distract her. However, the fit would not end. So, finally, I got the same Curious George book back out and gave it to her. INSTANTANEOUSLY, she stopped crying and smiled....like mother like daughter I suppose. (My parents always talk about me being stubborn as a young child.) On the bright side, she looves to read with me! She's very good at turning the pages by herself and will generally wait for me to say "Turn the Page!" BUT if I try to turn the page without her, then watch out! I always regret doing that...

She is still a big fan of the outdoors. She's always happy as can be when we're havin fun in the sun.

Its fun to walk around UW campus- it seems there is always some form of spontaneous entertainment.
