Lizzie Bear is 8 Months!

Our favorite nickname for Elizabeth is "Lizzie Bear." We started calling her that when she wore her pink winter coat with bear ears and it has just stuck!


Lizzie is 8 months old! She turned 8 months old while we were in Door County, Wisconsin vacationing with my family. It is so fun to watch her grow and learn new things every day! I love how excited she is about being mobile. She has become very adept at cruising and bending down to pick up small objects off of the floor as she goes. She uses a variety of syllables now and seems to prefer saying "dada and daddy!"

While at my parents house, she was loooving the dog, Benny. She was scared at first, but then grew to really like him and would reach for him.

She has such a cute little personality. We always call her our little busy body because she is always wanting to be on the move or playing with toys. She's not the type of gal to happily sit still on a lap. She is very determined and will not be stopped by any obstacles when she's trying to reach some item that has caught her interest.

This is a picture of an oil painting that my mom made for Lizzie's room! Its sooo adorable...I think Lizzie will look just like the picture when she gets a little older! Is my mom talented or what!

Lizzie The Ninja Warrior!

If you've ever seen the Japanese series "Ninja Warrior" or the American version "Wipeout" you may have an extra appreciation for this video!
It has taken me a while to post this one- this was filmed right after Lizzie had turned 7 months old. (This obstacle course is a piece of cake for her now!)

Also, notice how she is chasing a cell phone. She is OBSESSED with cell phones! If she sees anyone talking on one she will go crazy until we give her one too. (She has a plastic display phone that was made to look and feel like a real one.)

Motorcycle Weekend

Thursday afternoon, Dave headed out for a motorcycle weekend with the guys. Lizzie and I saw them off from Seattle. Dave wanted to take her with, aboard the saddlebag, but decided better of it. She might weigh him down too much on the road!! They, then, met up with Mike and Chris in Tacoma.

When they left Tacoma they were headed for Ocean Shores along coastal highways.

Today is Saturday and they are still MIA.

Word on the street is they were last seen wreaking havoc in Port Angeles.

If anyone spots my runaway husband please give me a call!! :)

Elizabeth and Bella

Little Bella came over to play with Lizzie, yesterday, and they were so cute playing outside together.
Dave and I had a blast watching and playing with these two little cuties.

They both loved to chase each other around our coffee table over and over. I think they thought it was a race...

DOCTOR DAVE has graduated!!!

Watch out world!! Dave is now, OFFICIALLY, a Doctor of Dental Surgery!!!! He is going to be such a great dentist!! His patients at the school were very sad to lose him, but he's going on to a better place. Where is that place you ask?? Well...we are not sure at the time and are on the hunt for a job in the area.

It is very unreal to think that the 8 years are finally over!! Its been a looong road, but we've had a lot of fun a long the way. We like road trips.

I am SOOO proud of Dave. Dental school is a very stressful time, but he managed to keep his cool, stay positive, and do well in school. What an accomplishment!! He loves all aspects of dentistry, but has a special passion for placing implants and other dental surgeries. While in school, he did so many extra surgeries above and beyond the requirements just for the FUN of it. What a guy! I love you and am so proud of you Dave- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Little Swimmer

We are finally getting over a cold that has afflicted our little family this week! This picture sums up what we've been doing to survive the heat, though.

I love that Lizzie loves wearing these adorable sunglasses- so funny!!
