2 Weeks Apart!

Mary and I were finally able to get together and hang out, while letting Josh and Lizzy get better acquainted. These two were born just 2 weeks apart!
It was so fun to have a friend who was pregnant at the same time as me. We both announced we were pregnant to each other on the same day. Then, as time went on we were able to compare pregnancy milestones, symptoms, excitement, and complaints. It was fun to share and compare our ultrasound pictures of these two side by side.
Then, before we knew it, they were born. Now, Lizzy and Josh are about 6 months old and we are able to watch them laugh and play side by side. Josh is such a little sweetie. He and Lizzy will grow to be great friends!

Saturday Stroll

This past Saturday, Linda introduced us to this great walking trail. Its so beautiful and scenic. You start out near an amazing golf course that will be hosting the U.S Open in a couple years. Then, you get to walk past the water and through the forest.

Its a pretty far walk for little legs so we took breaks every now and then.Adam and Noah were such great walkers, though. They made it the whole way!

The family insisted that I dressed Lizzy too warm...I suppose her clothes don't really fit in with the rest of us.

Easter

This may be a very late post but....Happy Easter!
I love the Easter Holiday so much that I had to post a blog even if it is late! Dave and I have been having so much fun spending time with family these days. There's hardly any time to post all the pics that are building up!
The beautiful Spring weather has been so nice. Lizzy is absolutely looving the outdoors experiences.

Hooray for warm sunny days!!

I Hope They Call Me On a Mission

Congratulations Trevor!! Trevvy, my youngest brother (far right), is the last one in the family to get his mission call. And he's going to....drum roll please....
Novosibirsk Russia on July 15, 2009!
Its hard to believe you will be in Siberia for 2 years!!
We will miss you, but we are so proud of you.
You may have lost the beard off, as can obviously be seen from the pic, but its ok because missionaries should be clean cut anyways!

Soaking Up the Sun

The weather has been so nice that Lizzy had her first experience with grass! She absolutely loved laying in the grass.
She seemed intrigued with the new texture.
Daddy could not resist throwing grass at her to get a smile.

It seems as if Lizzy is starting to recognize words like "jump." Whenever she is just sitting in her bouncer for a long time, I will say "Jump Lizzy jump!" Well, whether she knows it or not, she gets really excited and jumps like crazy when I tell her to.

If Lizzy Were a Cartoon...

Am I a cute cartoon or what?
Lizzy looooves the water so much. We took her swimming a couple weeks ago and she liked it so much that I have turned her daily bath into more of a swim time. I fill the tub up and we both swim in it together as if it were a pool. A hard lesson I learned is that if you are going to treat the bath tub like a swimming pool, then you better go all out. Meaning: Always put a swim diaper on a baby, especially if you are in the tub with them!!!

Happy Birthday Dave!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!!!
On Monday, we celebrated Dave's birthday. This is the 5th birthday that we've celebrated together. I can hardly believe it! I am such a lucky gal to have him. He is such a great husband and father; a mere ONE day could NEVER contain all the special birthday fun that he deserves. So we started the pary in New York by seeing Phantom on broadway. Then we had a special dessert on Sunday. Then, Monday we spent the entire day doing fun birthday activities. We went to one of Dave's favorite places to eat: Ivar's. We walked around downtown and went to an IMAX matinee.
It was so nice outside that after I picked him up from school we walked around campus and enjoyed the sun.
We packed in all kinds of outdoor fun then topped the night off with a romantic indoor picnic for two. We put the little one in bed, hence, the necessity of an indoor picnic.

When we were walking around Seattle, Lizzy would reach her arms out to the pigeons so Dave helped her chase one. When I started recording she had kind of given up on the idea of catching one and the pigeon got faster as well. Just prior to this though, she got really close to one and it was so funny to see her stretching her little hands out to catch a pigeon.
